Could someone comment on this laptop?

It's huge so would it be super heavy?

How is the screen and the resolution?

    The resolution I'm not familiar with....Native LCD Panel Resolution: 1680 x 945???

What the heck is TruBrite? I suppose this screen isn't LED?

It's a large laptop but most specs I would like are there.

I'm mostly considering Asus, Toshiba and Dell....

I don't imagine it being all that heavy. It isn't an extreme gaming laptop like many Clevo's, and the Asus G series.

About the screen - It is the 16:9 version of 1680 x 1050. It's slightly substandard for the size that it is, but it's ok if you aren't watching full HD content.

TruBrite is a marketing gimmick by Toshiba. It's pretty much them trying to say that it's better than your average screen, but really it isn't since all manufacturers have this sort of thing (HP Brightview Infinity Display, etc).

Personally, if it were up to me, I would get a Dell Studio XPS 16 over this. Better specifications, and the 16" RGBLED screen is apparently really nice. Plus, Dell have better customer support.

TruBrite is one of the types of glossy screen treatment which Toshiba uses.

Thanks for that informative and insightful input, CZ!

I'll check the Dell. I have configured them before just for kicks to see what it would cost so I have an idea of what to expect. But, hopefully not too much more than what that Toshiba would cost.

It was right at the boundaries of my budget! :)
