Hello
I bought this laptop in September 2013 and I haven't had any major issues until now.
The only thing it does, is getting warm easily. I noticed this while working with AutoCAD and playing games. Ofcourse games are usually pretty performance-demanding, but I can't even play Battlefield 3 on the lowest graphic settings without my processor cores going over 75° C and even up to 85° C.
Few specs:
W8 64-bit
Intel i7-3630QM
6GB RAM
Nvidia GT630M - 2GB
So I decided to buy a cooling pad, namely the Cooling Master Notepal XL (89.8 CFM). I found it to be a good looking cooler and thought I'd give it a shot. I plug it in, place my laptop on top of it and start up Battlefield again. After playing for 5 minutes, I opened Speccy and it showed that my cores were over 75°C, so I power my cooler and put it on the highest speed... Not even a 2°C difference after waiting for about 3 minutes.
I checked my processor vents to see if there was a lot of dust, but there was barely any on the fan. What I did notice was that the vent is absurdly small and only half of it is actually a vent.

The left strip isn't even real, the grooves are sealed... Only the right strip has real grooves, which barely covers my fan.
Could this be the cause of my laptop running hot? I find it logical that the airflow would be a lot better if the whole fan was covered with grooves, and not solid plastic.
I appreciate any advice.
Thanks.
