I just dont get it,,,, 1.83 GHz? Is that equivalent to 2 GHz or higher? I am worried about it because i am planning to get DESKTOP REPLACEMENT Laptop,,, for Home and College use,,, i really dont care how much it weighs,,,, do you guys think Toshiba Satellite Pro 100 is really D.R. Laptop for me or not? i REALLY want a fast running or about 90% fast comp because i will be doing multitasking like running 5 or more applications - photoshop, quark xpress, flash, dreamweaver, adobe after effects, and couple of other programs,,,

and my price range AFTER tax is 2300 bucks

    thanks

The Core Duo T2400 running @ 1.83ghz is very very fast with multitasking, I think you should have no problems.

Oh nice! Thank You "usapatriot" and "vladmoney" and do you guys recommend that i get the warranty plan or i should be fine without it?

Also, which other option i might have for a Desktop Replacement Laptop from Toshiba other then Toshiba Satellite Pro P100 or P105?

i like to have more then 1 option :)

I suggest upgrading to 1.5-2GBs of RAM with all those programs you're going to run (especially at once).

I just got a P100 recently and i did get a warranty it was $134 for an extra 2 years. I don't know if i needed it, but got it because i spent so much money on the notebook already i want to make sure i have security.

Right now you can configure a P100 with a better CPU for just under $1600 with the exact same specs as the one in my sig. This laptop is nothing less than incredible. I just bought it to replace my old HP (see my sig). PM me if you want more details...too busy playing high-end games!!! Finally!!! :)
