I am thinking about buying this laptop. I am a computer programmer and need programs like visual studio .net and dreamweaver > I need a high speed computer... Please give me your opinions about it....

Toshiba Satellite Pro A120-187 has the following features:

    Intel Core Duo 2 T7600 Processor (2.33GHz), 2GB RAM (2 x 1GB), 120GB Hard Disk, Windows Vista Business
Edition, 15.4'' WXGA Screen, DVD Super Multi Drive DL, WiFi 802.11a/g, 3 Years Warranty.

I am willing to buy a laptop included in this list bc i get a substantial discount.

I am considering this laptop too:

    Toshiba Satellite Pro U200-10D
    Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7200 (2.0GHz), 2046MB RAM (2 x 1024), 120GB Hard Disk, Windows Vista
Business Edition, 12.1'' TruBrite WXGA TFT Screen, DVD Super Multi Drive DL, 3 x USB 2.0 Ports, Bluetooth,
    WiFi 802.11a/b/g, 1.86kg, 3 Years Warranty

But it would cost me two hundred dollars more.....

Depends if you really need portability, if you are going to be using one of these to be your main computer, go with the 15.4" because the 12.1" is way too small, you'll be squinting all the time. The T7600 is like the second fastest mobile processor there is, it will be defiantly be fast enough. If you are going to be carrying it around a bit, I would recommend a 14.1" or so, but between these two, I would go for the A120, $200 for a smaller screen and cheaper cpu doesn't seem worth it. :D
