That's With The Video Card, OverClocked from Stock: 375Mhz/500Mhz to 442Mhz/635Mhz!!

Not bad for a Laptop Huh? :p Actually I never thought I would have a laptop that would be faster than
    my Desktop PC.

I was thinking on trying to unlock the Extra Pipes and Vertex of the GeForce Go 7900 GS, But Got
a Little Scared of Damaging the laptop permanently, I haven't seen anybody try it.

-- Please other Owners of Gaming Toshiba Laptops, Post some Benchies ;)

I'll be posting more later on.

Great post, thanks, Th3R1pp3r. Could you tell me how to do the overclocking that you did? And is that totally safe?
    Thanks!

    Hey, Thanks Fuddy ;)

    Well I used "RivaTuner 2.0 RC 16"
    http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=163

It's actually pretty Save, I've been overclock and modding most of my hardware since Day one on all my Desktop PCs.

Actually when ur chaging the GPU/RAM speeds you have to test the settings before applying it, and If RivaTuner says it's not stable, it won't let you use those settings.

Anyways just for comparisson, While having the VideoCard at Stock Speeds,
    I Scored : 3876 pts on 3dmark06

So it's a nice big boost, It's incredible playing all the current monster games like nothing with such a powerfull Laptop.

~On the other Aspect, RivaTuner also let's you Unlock the Masked or Hidden PixelPipelines and VertexShaders, Like I did that for my DesktopPC's GeForce 6800NU, and Unlocked the extra 4Pipes and VPShader, for a total of 16pipes and 6Vps, versus the stock, 12Pipes and 5Vps.

But since nobody has tried it, I'm scared of damaging it, although you can Bypass the configuration on bootup, and if they video card doesn't like it, you can always reverse it to stock.

Anyways, Post some Benchies on your Behalf so we can compare :)

If there's more questions let me know.

    ForceWare 92.91 :)

    Still using the same drivers..

I tried some new ones, and hated the fact that I wasnt able to switch to Classic Style Control Panel, found a way to set it to classic, but then I wasn't able to overclock my Video Card... and also needed nTune all that crap so I'm back with Good Ol' 92.91..

I also finished ordering some upgrades for my lappy..

1-Hitachi Travelstar 200GB 7200RPM 16MB Cache HDD (To replace the Not-So-Fast 4200RPM 200GB Fujitsu HDD which I'll be using as an External HDD)

2- 4GB DDR2 PC2-5400 from OCZ (Performance Memory), and I'll be selling the Included Samsung 2GB DDR2-PC5300 factory memory..

And 3rd which I haven't done yet, I'm considering upgrading the CPU, Maybe getting an Intel Core 2 Duo T7400 (2.16Ghz) Mobile CPU.. But right now $450+- is too much for it, Of course I'd be selling the Stock T2500 Core Duo CPU, but still too much money hehe... I already spent $400+ on HDD and Ram..

The Core 2 Duo T7200 is a little cheaper, but I don't want to go from 2.0Ghz to 2.0Ghz, I want real performance upgrade, although I know the Core 2 Duo is faster than my Core Duo... :)

    That sums it up..

Nice to see you guys again ;)

    UPDATE:

I went ahead and ordered a Core 2 Duo T7600 (2.33Ghz) Mobile CPU, I bought it off eBay for US$415 New...

I'm very happy with the whole upgrade now that everything is up and running.

I cloned my Fujitsu 200GB 4200rpm drive to the new Hitachi 200GB 7200rpm drive using Norton Ghost 11.., and Also installed the 4GB OCZ Ram, although Windows XP SP2 says I have 3GB of ram hehe.. But CPU-Z shows the full 4096MB of Installed Memory..

I was able to upgrade the CPU thanks to cj2600's Toshiba Disassembly Guide for the P105 series..

The next step would be to try to find a P100/P105 GeForce Go 7900GTX/7950GTX Video Card, or Refurbished Laptop so I can upgrade my GeForce Go 7900GS :)

    ~~
Anyways I know my laptop is not Top of The Line or The New Monster on the Block anymore ... :) but still it's a Damn good one, and with the upgrades I made it's even better and can still kick some serious Laptop's ASS :D..

So Later on I'll try to post some Updated Benchmarks with the new parts, to see what kind of improvements it has..

    PEACE ;)

Heck yea, please post some benchmarks. I want to see how well your laptop runs with a newer CPU and 4 gb ram. I'm thinking of buying 4 gigs but I'm not too sure. P100/P105's only had the 7900 gs/gtx as their highend cards, they never had 7950s. As far as I know if you find a Toshiba 7900gtx you just install it and your computer should recognize it.

Oh, and one more thing. I know this may be too much but if you can can you install XP 64bit or Vista 64bit on another partition and see if it reads all 4 gb RAM? I've heard that there's a limitation on the chipset that wont allow 4gb to be seen in a 64bit environment. I just want to confirm before dropping $200 on 4gb ram. thanks!

Hey.. Glad to know someone is interested :p..

I'll try the benchmarks this weekend, as for installing 64bit OS... I don't have one at reach at the moment, but If I'd do it, it would be on the spare HDD I have...

Windows XP SP2 32bit says I have 3.0GB of ram, but every software that checks my hardware is able to detect the 4GB's...
