I read some info on installing memory for the Satellite u 205 series Toshiba laptop. But here is in pictures. It probably can be applied to others.

1- find openings of side of the long piece of plastic. Warning: be careful this is plastic. Do not use rough metal to pry open.
2- unscrew both screws with correct screwdriver tip to avoid stripping
3- the silver cover is the memory spill proof cover; unscrew both screws
4-spread the tabs at same time then the memory pops up then u pull out Warning: grounds yourself or touch a ground
    -----everything else is in reverse----

One reason that toshiba does not include the info on installing is the bad handling of components. The plastic cover atop of the keyboard is very fragile. And I simply don't know it u can order it or buy from spare parts.

Thank you! Not as intuitive as other machines I've owned, so your post is very much appreciated!
