    What's the hard disk size of Toshiba Satellite U500. is it 9mm or 12.5mm?

    Assume it is 9.5mm. Only a few of the big desk-top replacement laptops can handle a 12.5mm thick HDD.

    Honestly inside my case it looks like it would have no trouble at all holding a 12.5mm HDD, but I don't have one that size to try out in there so that's just going off what I can see visually.

    There's a fair amount of room in there for gpu and cpu upgrades as well, just what I've noticed from digging around inside...
