    Hello,

    I have a Toshiba Satellite 3005-S307 P3M 1.13 GHz 256 RAM, etc.
It goes heated fast and the fan starts running 10 seconds after I start it and keep on restaring (the fan) each 3 to 5 seconds. (the noise is quite annoying)

I was thinking of changing the cpu fan, that is to get a better one.
I opened my notebook and all I can see is
    AT 88M32N000REX00R
    90.12.19 CD

What do you think I can do to fix this issue?

By the way, what price can I ask if I want to sell it?

    Thank you

I don't think the fan is replacable on the Toshiba units. They're mounted/integrated into the heatsink. Because the fan blades are small they have to spin faster to get the same amount of air/cooling. When you spin it faster, it makes more noise. The fan is supposed to come on when it you add stress to the system (CPU). The more stress you add, the more it runs. That's just the nature of the cooling system. I don't think changing the fan will help in any way. To be honest, changing the fan may cause you more problems than good. If the fan you add ever fails, your unit is toast and Toshiba will not fix it (if it's still under warranty).
