Im thinking of getting a new laptop as soon as i can get some money. What do you guys think of this?:

    Toshiba Satellite A105-S4397 15.4" Widescreen

    Specs:

1.73 GHz Intel Core Duo Processor T2250
    1024MB PC4200 DDR2 SDRAM*
160 GB hard disk drive (5400 rpm)
    Super-Multi DVD drive, dual-layer
    Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG
    And Windows Vista Home Premium

I'll be using it for Adobe Photoshop, Internet, Office doc's (various types) sometimes at the same time.

*Is 1024 MB's like 1 GB of memory? When they do the MB thing it confuses me...

How much does it cost? Id try to get the new core2duo's.
Yea 1024mb ram is 1gig memory and since your getting windows vista with id also try and get a extra 1gig memory since vista uses like 500mb+. :D

It's 898$ at walmart.com is that a good deal for core duo? if not i'll just bump up to a core 2 duo. if so, do you have any suggestions at lowest price for core 2 duo with 1+ gb's memory and at least 15 in' screen & good enough graphics for WVHP. i can go up to 1000$ bucks.

Well i dont live in america but i saw this laptop http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/pdet.to?seg=HHO&poid=360027&coid=-32796

    Which has a core2duo for $999.
It looks like if you want 2gig ram your gona have to fork out for this one at $1199
    http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/pdet.to?seg=HHO&poid=360030&coid=-32796

Maybe buy the $999 one and see how things run with vista and 1gig ram and if its sluggish you can buy another 1gig and pop it in.
