Hi guys, I have a Toshiba Satellite l305-ds5938 in my possession right now and this thing will not power on. When I hit the power button nothing happens the battery light indicator just blinks about 6-7 times. I also tried to remove the battery, unplugged the a/c adaptor, hold power button down for about 30 seconds to no avail. I'm suspecting it might be an ac adapter problem because when I plug the ac adaptor to the laptop no lights go on. Its impossible for me to check the voltage since I don't have a multimeter. Are there any other options? Any input would be appreciated.

Adapters should be fairly cheap on ebay. Try finding an inexpensive one and try that. If it is the adapter, you're not paying Toshiba prices and if it isn't, you'll know that too.

Really, there is no cheaper way to test it unless you want to take it to a tech and pay for that (if it's not under warranty of course). If it's not running on battery then I would think that it is either the power button itself or a mother board issue. Adapter is the cheapest route.

I Think you need to replace the AC adapter, you can get AC adapter at any computer stores.
