I have been having a lot of trouble with my Toshiba Satellite.
I recently ran the recovery disks that came with the computer,
And ever since then it has been doing very strange things when it
Turns on. Every time I turn it on, it downloads the FM tuner utility
And desktop links. It does this every time the computer starts.
I uninstalled the FM tuner and the desktop links multiple times,
But every time it starts it downloads them again.
Is there a way to fix this? It never did this until I ran the recovery disk.
Please help asap, this is a very important computer. Thank you.

I am not sure which model, nor operating system you have, but there may be a program called "Toshiba Service Station", or something similar. Disabling or uninstalling that program may prevent your computer from automatically downloading the FM tuner utility.

Also, check your product support page for any new drivers which may correct the issue. If you decide to update your BIOS, please be aware it may fail and "brick" your laptop. Only update the BIOS if you experience significant problems.

In the above link, hit the "Product Support" button in the following page, and fill in your model specifications.

    Good luck
