    Hey guys!

I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite A300 laptop. It came with Vista Home, but my school required vista pro or higher, and I removed the OS and installed Vista Ultimate.

Now though, I want to turn on the Sleep and Charge feature, as well as possibly the other utilities that came with the computer, such as using the built in webcam to scan my face instead of typing in passwords.

To turn these features on, the manual says to go to Toshiba- Utilities. However, my computer does not have this anymore.

My question is, how do I turn this stuff on, or did I delete it all when I put in the new OS? Can I just put in my recovery disc?
    Thanks a bunch!

Vista does not come in any Professional version; I am pretty sure that Home Premium would have sufficed for any reasons that your school required.

When you reformatted the Toshiba, you deleted Home Premium plus all of Toshiba's preinstalled software, leaving you only with a fresh installation of Ultimate. You can restore the computer back to stock settings with the recovery disc.

I'm already on VISTA Home Premium x64 and will be moving to Business x64 on a X305-Q706 so I will know for sure. but on my older X205, I found all the Toshiba stiuff to add to my fresh install of XP Pro x64 and x86 from the download center.

You can turn the sleep and charge feature form BIOS setup Utility!
