I've had a toshiba satellite a215-s4807 for coming up on a year now.....the Software Upgrades app is launched on startup. Every once in awhile it's icon will appear in the system tray, which is suppose to mean that there are software upgrades, but when I open it it says "There are currently no upgrade packages available", so I'll click on the refresh list button and it says the say thing. I've went to toshiba's download page for this laptop on several occasions and have found updates that I needed. My question, is wtf is this app good for if it's not looking for updates to toshiba apps & drivers that came installed w/ the laptop?? I'd like it to actually notify me when packages are available and tell me what ones.....I dunno how it's suppose to work when it does, but I'd assume that you just click on the link in the window and it'll open your def. browser to a page on toshiba's website w/ the applicable download.
Anyone w/ some insight on this?

I would simply remove this program. My HP also has similar software that doesn't even get the latest drivers.
