    i want to know if i can upgrade my Toshiba Tecra A6-SP3052 with a new processor and which processor do you recommend i am new so i need a lot of help with the bios how to open my laptop :confused:

    here are the specs


    Processor core duo t2300
    Graphic Controller Intel GMA 950
    Mobile Intel 945GM Express

    Many notebooks don't have upgradable processors. If this particular notebook has an upgradable processor, then I would look into the motherboard design and find out what socket the proc uses. From there, just check the charts of the processors on Wiki.

    it uses socket m can i use a t7200 sl9sf (i think that this processor is socket m)
    if i can where i can get the bios to boot it

    i have found my motherboard chipset is Intel Calistoga-G i945GM/GMS/GT/GU (well that was what everest tell me)
    what are my chances for upgrade the cpu
