Am looking at buying Toshiba Tecra A9-14G.
Specifications are Core 2 Duo 2.2, RAM 1 GB, HDD 160GB, 15.4" TFT, 128 Shared VGA, vista business preloaded, windows XP CD, 3 year Intl warranty.

Since I spend atleast 8 hours a day on the laptop, I particularly like the non glaring TFT screen (as opposed to the glossy BRITE screens available these days). I like the Windows XP option and 3 year warranty. I will be using it for basic office work (no gaming or extensive programming applications will be required).

Just curious to know if anyone had reviews (good or bad) for this series. Any advise on TFT screens?

    need HELP!! quick!!

hey there and welcome to the forums

yeah that laptops pretty good cause a week back, i had to order and setup a brand new laptop for a company i work for, set up the software and such and its pretty solid although the touchpad could have been better but performance was solid on it, something you can expect on a business notebook.
If its Xp, 1Gb of ram would be alright but since rams really cheap these days, try and get another stick of 1GB after you purchase it.
screens on it is really good too and i personally started liking those screens over my glossy screen in my current laptop

Unless the price is better than a HP business notebook, Thinkpad or Dell Latitude, this isn't worth it at all. I've used one and it's really poor value compared to the competition.
