I am looking at purchasing a Tecra M2 but all of the reviews I have read put me off it. That said thta are all from 04 when it was launched and the spec is very different now.

Has anyone bought a current one/ reviewd one so I can make a more informed decision?

Failing that I will go with a Rock Pegasus CTS.

I am using an M2 provided by my company, and either it was not set-up properly (IT has been using the Toshiba CD) or the Toshibas are burdened with too many background processes sucking up resources. It has a centrino cpu w/768 mg mem and it constantly hangs, has program not responding messages, and intermittently takes way too long to perform routine tasks, ect. I had very similar issues on an M35 loaner so it makes me wonder. I use MS office, and cisco vpn to connect to office server, so nothing really odd in my usuage. Also didn't have these issues with previous Dells or my Desltop (home built). It does have a good screen, and one of the better keyboards I've used, and the size is decent. Haven't used it on battery enough to comment. If anyone has any ideas on how to mae this unit work better, please feel free to weigh in...K
