    Does anyone know how to get the case apart on a Toshiba Tecra S1. I need to replace the motherboard.....

    I'd try a post in the notebook modding section, you'll have better luck there... I don't have a Terca S1 otherwise I'd help you!

    I don't recommend and un-experienced person to perform a systemboard replacement on a notebook; especially on the Tecra S1.

    This notebook is one of the more difficult to take apart in the Toshiba lineup. There are specific things that need to be taken off and specific ways the pieces have to come off (otherwise you'll snap the plastic or the tabs holding the plastic).

    Send the unit in for service as the Tecra's should have a 3 year warranty (or at least they used to).
