Only 2'day my Tecra isn't booting properly. It boots with fuzzy picture after logging in from XP. I'm not able to view icons on desktop nor use the Start button.

After several attempts, it managed to boot properly, hence the post on forum.
    What could be reason ?

Is there good utility software to chk the internals of the laptop ? (& subsequently fix the errors?

    Pls help - mave

if you dont have anything important on it yet, do a system restore, back to the day you bought the notebook, if you can burn the recovery dvd`s before you do the restore (just in case the restore fails), start the restore by turning on your notebook while holding down the 0 zero key until you get a recovery starting message.
