Toshiba announced on Tuesday that it is launching a program that will allow owners of its mobile computers and technology products from other manufacturers to trade in those products to purchase new Toshiba technology.

Toshiba will accept most desktops, notebooks, monitors, servers, printers and handhelds for a trade-in. Customers can go to the Toshiba Web site https://www.toshiba.tradeups.com/welcome.asp to get a quote on the value of their products then provide Toshiba with a proof of purchase of their new Toshiba products to get a redemption check within 30 days. Customer will have to ship their pre-owned equipment to Toshiba, but the company will pay for the shipping.

What do they do with the old ones? Probably sell them on eBay for more than they purchased it from you. The trade in prices are pretty horrible.

I never would have even thought that! My guess would have been "into the dumpster" and take the rite off.
