    Hi,
I recently bought a toshiba U300 PSU34C-NS108C for my girlfriend and she did not like vista on the laptop. So I tried to install WinXP pro and when it was about to finish the computer turned off or was ready to reboot.

Now the laptop will not want to power on and when we plug in the power cord there are no lights on the front of the laptop. Pressing the power button will do absolutely nothing. Could anyone help out?

If no power lights come on on adapter or battery, then you need to return or exchange the laptop, as that's almost certainly a hardware problem.

Okay I really hope so, because we also bought an extended warranty at the futureshop. I'm really disappointed that this happened.

We plugged the cord in and pulled it out, did the same with the battery, but to no avail. The lights just don't turn on or recognize there's a power source.
