    Toshiba U305 DVD/RW Drive missing?

    I recently reformatted my U305 and after installing all of the windows vista updates I noticed that my DVD/RW drive was no longer showing in My Computer. When I insert a disc into the drive it spins it but nothing pops up. Did the driver get deleted or something? can anyone point me in the right direction? thanks.

    Try installing the driver from Toshiba:

    Model Content Page

    Make sure the model number is correct. Select "Product Support" at top of page to select your model.
