Ok, I know a little bit about computers and stuff, And my Dell just died. I bought a 205-SLi3 for gaming and just plain fun. I dont know much about upgrading the internals in laptops. Actually I know nothing at all, but i want to learn. I was wondering if it would be possible to take out the 2 8600GT's and just directly replace them with 2 8800ultra's, or if i have to replace the motherboard, or what ever its called you plug the video cards into(again sorry for the lamens, but i dont know all the vocabulary yet). Anyways, im jut tryin to figure out if i could do that. Thanks for any answers.

Possibly, if Toshiba were to offer 8800 modules that fit in the SLI series. But, even if that does happen, you'd probably have a nearly impossible time getting your hands on them. Even MXM cards are extremely difficult to get on the open market.

Don't buy ANY laptop expecting you can upgrade the video card. Buy it because its powerful now with the slight hope that you MAY be able to upgrade the video card in the future.

I agree 100%, I bought my sli1 for the good price and since I already had a T7700 cpu, Do not expect to be able to upgrade the gpu's at all but as it is, the sli1 and sli3 are excellent laptops for the price you pay.
