    I have a problem with my Toshiba. It's a135-4727.
Well it came with Vista Home Premium but I wasn't satisfied so I get drivers for Win XP, read to be sure if there is no problem with SATA drivers. Then i formatted whole HDD and instaled XP Professional. I've installed drivers and ... everything should be ok but it isn't. I've got wierd system hang (everything freezes for a 3-4seconds) when I'm using touchpad or external mouse. If I work on keybord it's ok - no freezes. What is more weird - in games nothing happen ! But it's annoying. What I can do ?

HI, I had a similar problem with yours, I bought it in california 2 years, during the first year I had no problems with it, but then at its second year it freezes, the LCD turns blank, and from there I reboot it, Its aleays like then until the my hard drive destroyed because of this rebooting. I give my toshiba another life I have it repaired here, but then again after 6 months I experienced it again. now I have no communication with my family back home and I am still raising the money to buy other brands. I black listed toshiba because of this experience.

It's not the same. Mine freezes-up for max 3-4 seconds. Then it work normal until next freeze (sometimes 3-4 times per minute).

Hi, I'm having the same exact problem. Did you find a solution? Also, I have 3 unknown devices and no drivers for them. Where did you find XP drivers?

    Thanks!

i had the same problem too but it was only the screen. nothing happened to the screen.
every 5 minutes, it would freeze for about 4 or 5 seconds..
no matter how many times i formatted it with vista and xp, it was the same deal. i ended up changing the hard drive and alls well
