Umm, if you dont want a shiny/glossy, etc, you need to buy a professional/enterprise model.

According to multiple reports I've read, all 3 (Toshiba, Dell, Sony) Blue Lable 2.0 laptops will have the i5-430M processors, not the i3-330M model. The Toshiba looks pretty nice, and is a 14" screen, while the Sony is a 13" and the Dell is a 15.6".

I think you're right...all the recent reports are showing the i5-430M....much better than the i3, IMO. If only it came with a 1600x900 display...

Yeah, I wish the the resolution was higher also, but that's okay. I'm definitely going to be checking it out as soon as it hits my local BB. I'm also waiting to see the new updated Satellite models that Toshiba announced, specifically the A500 14" model and the U500 13.3", and I'm considering the new Lenovo Y460 also, if they have the heat under control now.

For sure. The i3 don't get the speed step tech, so battery life should be better with i5 processors.

The Core i5 (and i7) also benefit from Intel Turbo Boost technology...which is a useful feature with an unfortunate name! It reminds me both of the early 80's show "Knight Rider" AND the heap of failure called Intel Turbo Memory.

Actually, all Core i3 (and i5/i7) processors include Intel's Enhanced Speedstep technology. The feature they lack is Turbo Boost for the processor. Only the graphics core has Turbo Boost on the i3...
