Hi guys,
I'm only asking this because it's an emergency and I can't find anything in search function and I really need some info on my laptop for work ASAP!
My laptop keeps restarting after about one minute. It doesn't even make it to the windows page. The only page I can get to is the Windows advanced option menu which has:
safe mode
safe mode with networking
safe mode with command prompt
enable boot logging
last known good config
directory services restore mode
debugging mode
start windows norm.
reboot
The weird part is the comuter stays on only when in Windows advanced option menu but not when trying to get to the main windpws page.
My questions are:
What could be the problem
How can I repair this?

I bought my laptop last August.
Please help thank you!

Three possibilities:
Your RAM is borked
Your Hard drive is borked
Your Windows installation is borked.
To test your RAM, run Memtest86:
Download Memtest86 from:
http://memtest.org/download/1.70/memtest86+-1.70.iso.zip
Extract this file, then use a program like Nero or DeepBurner to burn the .ISO image to a CD-R (make sure you use the "Burn Image to Disc" option, rather than dragging and dropping the ISO onto a CD).
Once the CD-R has burned, boot your computer off of this CD-R (you may have to go into your BIOS to change the DVD boot priority to number one). Memtest will run continually until you press "Escape" to stop it. I suggest letting it run for at least 4 hours.
There will be an error-readout in the lower-right corner of the information display.
If there are no errors from Memtest, use CHKDSK to test your hard drive. Boot off of your Windows CD-ROM and go to the recovery console (if you're using XP. Under Vista, you have to choose the repair option, then choose the recovery console, I think) and run "chkdsk /r" (no quotes, but note the space).
If CHKDSK does not find/repair any errors, reinstall Windows.
