I just saw someone selling it, but I've never heard of it or seen reviews of it. Does anyone know why Toshiba stopped producing it? Thanks.

No problem - it's good to know which models are available ;) The only thing I have against M55s are their lack of a dedicated GPU.

All retail models of the M55, at least in the U.S, do come with Intel integrated graphics. You can customize one online with a Radeon X600SE, a watered down mediocre card by todays standards, but still loads better than the GMA 900.
Funny thing is, I found out that the Celeron models come with the ATI Radeon X200M, quite better than the Intel GMA 900 but why on Earth is it not in the Pentium M models!?

HP also has this problem in their DV1000s as with Dell with their XPS M140s.

Well, Intel for some reason doesn't support the X200M (probably because it's used by AMD in their notebooks), so I believe notebook makers have to integrate the chipset themselves into notebooks. Toshiba probably figures that Celeron users need a bit of a break and put the X200M into it. HP has had problems with underpowering their notebook GPUs (with the exception of the dv4000 w/ X700) for as long as I can remember.

The DV4000 with the X700 is really their only notebook with a decent GPU. Many of their other notebooks, like the DV8000Z, and DV5000 deserve at least that card as well. I feel as if HP is trying to shortchange their AMD machines.

I think they should offer the new X1400 and X1600 cards in their machines also, for some reason it is hard to find AMD's with decent graphics, except for a few boutiques and a couple others, especially hard in the 14" catagory.
