    Hello
Hope somebody can help me. I have got a problem with my ac adaptor charging. My battery will be plugged in and charge for a while and then I will notice the computer is not connected to the ac adaptor and it is running off the battery, if I touch the ac adaptor where it connects to the laptop the led lights flicker on and off, so I am guessing there is some sort of problem on the laptop itself where the connection is for the ac adaptor to go into, the laptop was sent into Toshiba for repair as I had problems with a high pitched noise coming from the fans. I also told Toshiba that I had liquid damage to the computer and they are saying that the high pitched noise is to do with the liquid damage and the reason the ac adaptor is not charging properly is because the system board is damaged due to the liquid damage. They have told me it is going to cost 500 pound for the repairs. Do I need to take this up with Toshiba Again?
    Thanks in advance

Once you told them that there was liquid damage, you've pretty much given them the ammo they needed not to fix your unit under warranty.

Did this liquid damage cause these problems immediately after it happened?

Did you get the unit repaired (by Toshiba) after the liquid spill? What was replaced? If you did, and it was for the systemboard, then the liquid spill is no longer a factor and they should replace it under warranty (as long as you still have the paperwork of the work done after the liquid spill).

If no work was done after the liquid spill, the can easily blame that on the problems and not fix it under warranty.

From the sounds of the problems listed, the AC connector is loose. It's probably starting to pop off the systemboard and you just need it resolderd. But if you send it in for service, they'll replace the systemboard.

The issue of the fans, unless the liquid went from the underside of the unit, I don't see how it could affect the fans. This is something should should replace under warranty. Well, at least in my opinion.

What is the name of that connection in the back of the laptop where the power supply is plugged in? The pin in my A65 broke off in the adapter, and now i am in search of a replacement part, but i dont even know what to call it, much less where to find it :(

The name of this part is AC jack. Unfortunatelly, in Toshiba A60/A65 AC jack is a part of the system board. So, you have to replace the system board. Or you can try to find a bad system board on eBay (sometimes very cheap) and resolder the AC jack.
