let say i buy it from pcmall. Can i still buy the insurance from toshibadirect. instead of buying it from pcmall. I am planning to order it since it is cheaper with them and saving 150.00 dollars on it is great deal i think.

Yes you can. Toshiba Direct sells extended service plans regardless who you actually bought your unit from. Some plans require purchase within 30 days of purchase though (System Guard and Service Express). Straight warranty extension I believe they let you purchase anytime while the first year warranty is still in effect.

Personally, I found Toshiba Direct extended service plans to be well priced compared to others. Plus they let me use the 15% discount coupon code I received from Toshiba when I registered my computer.

I posted about a discount/coupon (linked below) that you could use to get 20% off on notebooks at ToshibaDirect, so it would be $160 less than Toshiba's original price on the X205 sli1, and you could use the code BEEM in the checkout to get free ground shipping as well.
