    hi there,

thanks for the links to the downloads. After downloading anbd extracting with winrar I get 19 x Phlash16 versions and 3 x wincris. So that gives me 19 x 3 = 57 combinations to try. Anyone has any experience which one I should try for the toshiba p200-178???

Hello I'm with Satellite L30-134 (PSL33), I've download the BIOS from toshiba official website (bios-20071106150302.rar). When I decompress the .rar file there is no .rom file. There is .WPH file.
Is this the bios file that I need ?

Hi! How you recovered it? I got a Satellite A215 SP6806 and nothing seems to work!! Tried with Fn + B but USB doesn't seems to blink, PC just starts and CD ROM seems to start reading (Already tried CD method with no results). Can you please send me the file you used for the recovery please? (Both are A215 so they use the same drivers or I hope so.) Hope you can help me! Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Found the correct files and everything seems to be working fine! Thanks to everyone who helped! :D

oooh guys you can't imagine how thankful I am for all your posts and knowledge sharing !! I just brought back a Satellite C660 (one of my customer's laptop, not even mine). I didn't work the first 100 times I tried but it eventually did. Not sure what I did to make it happen but I'm just soooo relieved ! I always hated Toshiba, now I'm really pissed off at them !

Well thanks again and keep up with the great job !
    cheers from Switzerland

The big problem is getting the correct file.

At this point the screen C660 I have here is always black and the fan working at 100%.

But it is always like this!
Someone can help me find the right file?
The model is a Toshiba C660
    model in short PSC0LE

The version of the BIOS that is on the Toshiba website is v1.70 and this is what I'm trying to put.

    Help me please.

    Thanks!

Hi all, i have great news!

my problem was in part to create the usb stick, I was creating the windows 7 compatibility mode with windows xp but the pen was only getting only 16kb.

I solved the problem by creating a usb stick on a computer with windows xp.

Thanks for this post!! I successfully unbricked my toshiba L4O-T laptop. The method does not last for a minute. it was done in like 5 secs making me doubt if it worked. But it did.. Hahaha!. Thanks a lot!! Spared me from spending lots of bucks.

Toshiba Satellite C660 Bios failed to update, it freeze in the middle, and my laptop will not turn on just black screen, laterl downloaded bios crisi disk,, prepared usb disk 4b.
then downloaded the latest bios from toshiba website.
replace BIOS.ROM with the one in the usb drive and rename it as BIOS.WHP., save it.
Remove battery - HDD and the DVD drive.
Connect the usb first then power corde.
Hold fn + b keys together while pressing on power button. about 15s, the wait 5 mn until the fun stops..
restart the computer by pressing power button. all done.
