Could anyone give me advice on what to do about my USB port problem? Bought laptop new 5 months ago and all 3 USB ports are not working. Started with one failing early on but now and all 3 have failed.Sent it to toshiba, still under one year guarantee, and they wanted to charge me 400 euros to fix it, as they say it is a motherboard problem.(cost of laptop 600 euros) Apparently, they say the ports are broken, which I fail to see how I did this? Any advice appreciated.

Yes, ports on left and right side, and none of them work. Computer will read my XD picture card, but can't plug in to usb ports, tried a usb key and my external hard drive disk but no joy.

If one port died and then the rest, it`s most likely a hardware fault, but to be certain you to do a fresh install.
