Got this unit which shows a
"Bad checksum"
error at startup, how can I fix this please? Also, where can I view a manual for this, tried Toshiba's site and the net but can't come up with anything, help? Thanks.

I found this in another forum:
"A "Checksum Error/Failure" can be caused by different causes. When this error is shown while unit boots, try to do this:
- keep down ESC button and switch the unit on
- when message ''Check System, then press [F1] key'' occurs press F1 key
- after that press End key and confirm with Y (be careful about Y and Z keys)
If the error is still there it can be that battery is empty or must be replaced. The first thing you can do is to leave the unit more than 48 hours on permanent AC power supply. Other way you must contact authorized service partner and CMOS battery must be replaced with new one."

Also I found that a BIOS update might cause that problem.
Also here is all the support (including users manual) for the 415cs. Guess you didn't look hard enough!
Good luck! -
Sorry, I forgot to give you the link for the users manual. Oops!
