    Hallo all,

    I have a notebook: Toshiba-Tecra-S1 centrino-CPU1600MHz-RAM768MHz.
    The problem:
When I switch on the notebook, windows doesn't start. It starts only after three to four times of switching off-on!!!
After switching it on, I can hear the fan of the CPU, and if there is a CD in the CD-drive, the drive starts reading the CD, but no thing on the display!!!
I miss the guarantee-card, and the manual is in German!!!
    Can anyone help???

    Thank you on advance.

press F12 when starting , then select the HD symbol with the arrow keys to insure HD startup .

If fails then you probably need to reinstall windows or do a system restore .

If it works then got to toshiba setup and select the HD as the first startup option ( or from the bios - I just don't remember how ) .
