    Hi,
From what i heard, Toshiba laptops come with 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects. Is this true?

Is it possible to purchase additional warranty like i do with Dell? (Dell sends a letter asking whether you'd like to extend the warranty for $X).

I was at best buy, and it turns they have options as well for warranty (2 years for $199 doesn't seem bad).

Do you recommend the BestBuy warranty? Or does Toshiba have an option to extend the warranty?

    Thanks a lot in advance

My one year is about out right now (well September 23rd), Toshiba sent me an email to renew it. You get the option of 1 or 2 years. They also have special deals on the extended warranty price as well. I bought my laptop through Future Shop, I didn't go with their warranty as it was over $400 at point of purchase, which was a lot considering the laptop I bought (X200). Oh yes and snc is right, you must have registered with Toshiba before you are offered the extended warranty, if not, I am not sure what you could do. Maybe try calling them?
