Hello everyone, as most of you probably wont know, i used to own a toshiba a20. but i returned it because it was too much computer for my purposes and i felt like i paid too much. just a couple weeks ago, i realized that i do need a notebook. so i went notebook browsing. my mind was set on a dell, then a compaq, then mdg. i was going to makea deal on an mdg until, the ad in the paper was "the base model" so i ended up leaving and went to costco to see if they had any decent ones. i decided to purchase the a70 model for 1599.99 canadian. this same model was on sale for 1899.9 at best buy so i said why not. but it turned out that they didnt have any left and that his model was "inactive" meaning that they wouldnt be reeviing anymore of these. he offered to give me the one on display for cheaper. i wanted to know how much so he asked the manager. he said 20% off with 6 month refund period.i agreed. and because i am an executive member, i only pay g.s.t, and get 2% rebate. so my total came to $1359. not bad considering its been on display for only 3 days, regular price was 1599.99 plus the tax which wouldve been like 1900. so i saved a few huundred dollars. my plan is to use it for a few months, then when new models come out, ill return it and get new one.
well thats my buying story. i hope this thing holds up well.
Toshiba was the one for me
