Just curious if anyone has had any experiences (good or bad) with Toshiba's customer service. I saw some nice Toshibas in today's Future Shop flyer and they kind of perked my interest.

I did a Google and CNet search for info on Toshiba's customer service and for the most part it was pretty downbeat (then again, as someone in another forum pointed out, it's always the people that had BAD customer service that come and complain).

    Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated.

My experiences with Toshiba have been fine - they seemed friendly enough and fairly knowledgeable. However, I have heard of some pretty bad stories reguarding their customer service line about replacing defective parts. What particular model are you interested in?

Well, the industry is going through its "growing pains" and adapting to the new Core Duo CPUs - I'd expect everything to settle down by the end of this year though (assuming Vista doesn't cause an uproar). However, the Core Duos are still a better pick than the regular P-M notebooks IMO - better performance.
