That looks pretty cool :). I wonder if it means SLI with the 1GB of VRAM??
Also, WUXGA resolution would've been more preferrable, but I guess the 3Ghz Dual Core can make up for it.

Looks nice. But doesn't it seem too glossy? It also looks thick and heavy compared to other 17 inch notebooks. The battery life is probably no good either. Just look at the X205.
The specs look hot though. It's the build-quality that's the issue here. We'll just have to see when it comes out.

i agree, and if they decide to implement it in a similar way we might just be able to upgrade our X205 SLis... hopefully Toshiba delivers.

Is it just me or do the flames in the back look pink?

Oh, and expect to pay well above $3000 since this is the Qosmio line.

I think that it looks like a sweet laptop. However, I think that it looks a little too showy for me (including the flames) and I kind of like the design and subtle Flare Carmine lid of my X205 better. Also, who wants to eject or insert a CD when it is on their lap? At least they moved the audio ports off of the front but ruined it by putting the CD tray up front and adding ports to the backside of the laptop.

Can't wait to see what the form factor is for the GPU's, cross your fingers for 8800 duallies for our x-205's!!!

If it's anything like some of the previous recent Qosmios, then I would advise people to steer clear of this thing. I've gotten in contact with about 20 Qosmio G30/G35 owners over the last 2 years and only four of them have a laptop that still works. I can gaze to my left at the $3,000 G35-AV650 Qosmio paperweight sitting to my left that Toshiba wants $950 to repair.

I don't know if the Satellites are better built or better supported. I imagine they are, simply being higher volume devices. But the Qosmio is a laptop that no one else will own. When a new OS comes out, you'll wait longest for driver support. When it dies, no local tech depot will know exactly what to do with it. And when you send it to Toshiba out of the 1 year warranty, they'll charge you the price of a new laptop for something like a commodity motherboard replacement.

It's too bad, because they're such nice laptops. Qosmio = flagship line, specs and looks with no-name clone support.

It doesn't have SLI for the graphics cards. It only has a single 9800GTX. The specs of this notebook is impressive, but the design sure isn't. It's overly glossy and thick.

I believe it is a single 9800GTX with 1Gigs of vram, nice specs but for now I will keep playing with my Dell M1730 and my X205-9349 and X205-SLI1 laptops are doing their job with my kids to let them play all their favorite games.

we covered it and compared it to the Clevo M570TU w/ 9800M GTX 1042MB GDDR3.

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=277946

the pricing is comparable, but the mains issues are lack of customizations on the LCD panel, HDDs, and the infamous Toshiba bloatware hat comes with all of their systems.
