Anyone know why sound has become very distorted and muddy at time from my computer? I t cant be that my speakers are blown because I dont crank them that that hard and plus I have run it on the built in speakers, and 2 different sets of speakers all with the same fuzzy sounds when I'm playing music. I't did not originaly do this. I am currently stationed in Iraq so I haven't gotten any of the Vista updates yet, perhaps that could be the problem... any Ideas?

Well first update sound drivers if you haven't already.
Toshiba has recent ones, but the most recent are at Realtek. (think 2.00)
Next check and see if its your mic picking up anything... (disable it)
next turn OFF effects in the sound control panel.
Give those a shot, may be a few more I cna think of. -
thanks I'll give all that a try when I get back hah well I actually have already disabled the realtek effects it helps a little im hoping getting all the updates when I get back will do the trick. I actually had them at one time but wi-fi stopped detecting networks so I reformated and it started working again. I've been scared of getting the updates till I get I get back again. I had the same wi-fi problem with my HP with vista also, i'm guessing its a vista issue...
Toshibe X205-S9800 sound issue...your input would be HELPFULL
