How do you people deal with the Toshiba touch pad problem?
I have an external mouse that I use when I am at home, but when im using it outside, I dont bring my mouse so I use the touch pad. When I type though, it always skips back and forth. How do I fix this problem? Is there any driver for this?
Any help would be great
Thanks

When you say it "skips back and forth", do you mean while typing, your palm is making contact with the touch pad and therefore making the cursor move?
If so, you can make changes to the touchpad's sensitivity. Just goto Control Panel and you should be able to access the features in the Mouse option. Just check for sensitivity and change accordingly.

I was researching on google, and I kept getting the response you did. "Go to control panel, check the mouses setting, change the sensitivity" I dont know where that is located on my control panel. As you can see from the pic, there is no such thing. Where can I find this on my comp? Its Win XP and its an M50. Thanks for the reply!

um.. your mouse settings are right there, 1st icon in the second row (the one that says "mouse"). you can change the sensitivity there.

Under that area, there is no option to switch the sensitivity. Which heading should I be looking under?

The Touchpad ettings should be under the "Mouse" menu in your control panel. Look for the "Advanced Tab" and click on "Advanced Feature settings" and then on one of the 2 "Settings" button.
The steps might be slightly different, but you should be able to find the sensitivity settings under advanced tab. If you dont have this feature at all then the touchpad driver might not have installed properly. Check and update the drivers from Toshiba and see if you can find the menu I suggested above.
