    Dears,

I have the A205-S5871. It has a 1.8 Ghz Processor ans 2 Gb Rams.

I installed windows 7. I love it. But the machince is quit slow now, especially with office 2007.
I tried the upgrade the hardware, but it seems that it is difficult and not guaranteed, and I got an advice to reinstall winXP on it.
The question: can I install the XP from windows 7? or I have to format my laptop and install XP, then partition my HD, and then installing the windows 7?? This is verytime consuming???

    Thanks,
    WS

You can download linux, boot it live from a 1gb USB drive.
Use it to repartition your HDD. It is very easy in linux.

Your win7 installation should not be affected.

You first resize the current partition, make it smaller.
Then with the free space create a new partition.

Then boot from your XP disk. Install on your new partition.
Then you need to fix the bootloader.
    Try using vistabootpro.
