Last week I purchased a Toshiba Satellite U205-S5067, and I'm liking the laptop so far. But I'm having a problem with the volume.
The problem is when the volume is set to zero, even at zero I can still hear music playing from my speakers. This is really annoying because I have to mute the speakers through the volume mixer if I want the computer to stop playing sounds.
I was wondering if there is a way I could fix this problem without having to manually click mute under the volume mixer because I would assume that 0 volume should make the speakers silent.![]()
If you guys have any input please post, thanks in advance.

You may want to reinstall the drivers for the sound card. Uninstall the old ones, and then install the new ones, as you may get some problems if you simply install a new one over a previous verision. There will be some sound sound software that comes with the drivers, and make sure that hte sound bars in that are set correctly. Hope this helps.

I'm thinking of buying the same computer. Are there any other issues I should think of before buying one?

Is there a function key to mute the speakers?
