I've owned a toshiba satellite U300-111 for 8 months. Even since I bought it, whenever battery runs low, the laptop shuts down. When I turn it on, it says "Unexpected shut down - Windows will try to start normally". In the beginning it did start all right. It's been several weeks now that if I don't manage to plug the power supply on time when the battery is weak, it shuts down. Windows cannot start normally and it has to restore to an earlier time before it loads. I've tried to change the power options but nothing seems to help.
Is there a chance the lithium backup battery was dead from the very beginning?
    Is something wrong with bios?
Can anyone help me please? I have no worms or trojans!
