    On an M5-S4333 [Vista Business]

The zero key [and thus closing parentheses key] is non-responsive. Sufficient pressure or repeated clicking will sometimes bring it to life, but otherwise it doesn't respond. It worked fine in the beginning. It's just in the last week.

    Suggestions?

Maybe there is a little bit of dust under the key?
If not, your probably have to get a new keyboard.

New keyboard was the conclusion of the tech support people at DSR where we bought it. Fortunately there is a premier service center near where the user lives in Boston.

It could be dust, as allan_huang suggested. If you haven't cleaned the keyboard, then it may useful to get the dst out of there, or at least, as much as you can. Compressed air should get the majorty of the dust out.
