    Hello,

The last time I was here I got my posts moved, deleted or responded to by rude remarks. But I still wanted to let the others know what happened with my product recovery DVD-ROM problem...

There is no resolution. Toshiba sent me my DVD back saying that it works. But it does not. I put it in, reboot the machine and it says something about booting from a RAM disk and then it boots Windows. Their DVD does not work.

So, the DVD is defective. Toshiba won't replace it. When I call them for help, they tell me it's defective and to send it back to them. They contradict each other.

Their service is no good at all. And selling a 2000 $ machine with a bad DVD and then refusing to replace it is just wrong. I am afraid Toshiba has lost a future customer. When the time comes to replace the laptop, I will look elsewhere.

Anyway, this is not a rant or whining or anything like that. I'll just use my ghost image and forget this defective DVD exists and move on with my life. But I won't forget how terrible Toshiba customer service is.
