I'm wondering if I should update the BIOS of my Satellite A300. The BIOS version I have is from 2008, and there's an updated BIOS that came out in 2009. I'm wondering if its worth updating it. I don't know if it will improve the functionality at all, but is there any harm in doing so?

No harm in doing so, but only do it if you know what you are doing. There is a chance that you can brick your laptop doing this, but if you do it right, then all should be fine.

Review the changelog of the new BIOS from Toshiba. If the changes don't apply to your model, leave it.
