I have a Toshiba L305 s5595 laptop. I need to upgrade my processor from a 2.0 gHZ to a 3.0 gHZ. I am wondering what else may be affected when I do so...the motherboard...the cooling system... any ideas? Suggestions? Advice? Much appreciated. :)

    From what to what?
Your cooling system can be affected, if you upgrade to a CPU which is not supported by your MB or BIOS your laptop will not simply display anything.
