I have a X205-9349, and I was wondering how difficult it would be to upgrade the CPU, and Video Card? I have alot of experiance working with desktops, but laptops seem to be a whole other animal. If anyone can provide tips, directions etc. it would be greatly appreciated.

Well, technically, you can upgrade the video card (replacing it not very hard), but it can be very tricky to get hands on replacement one. You will need to somehow manage to obtain the needed part (video card from X20x series) from third party sources or via service center. Sadly there is no official upgrade program.

People have upgraded the CPU to 7700 and Penryn support is already in the BIOS. It takes a bit of doing and a lot of organization, but upgrading the CPU is indeed possible and proven. (and there is a good chance even upgrading to Penryn is possible)

As Ingvar said, the actual video card is modular when you take it apart.
However, it is proprietary and thus you would have to get a Toshiba video card designed for that interface.

The only card worth upgrading an 8700GT to will be the 8800m series cards when they ship.

*If* Toshiba makes an 8800m model in the x205 casing, it is probable that this upgrade might be possible, but there is no official support for upgrading.

Note doing this kind of thing will void yor warranty unless perhaps you can convince a friend in the Toshiba-certified support group to "accidentally" replace your 8700m with an 8800m when you send it in to have something looked at.

I'd say its an outside shot at most and certainly within the realm of possibility... but I wouldn't count on it.

Realize the clevo buyers thought they'd be a shoe-in for 8800m support...
There are a number of issues with upgrades in their case already.
