Is it possible to upgrade the processor in the X205? I would like to install a 2.4 or 2.6Ghz C2D.

    Thanks

Yes it´s possible... the european version of the X205 have an T7700(2.4Ghz)... I don´t know if it will support the 2.6Ghz version, because of the heat...

Where do you live? In Sweden there is only one model which comes with 2.0GHz.

The european version though higher processor speed, but seems to lacks a HDMI port when looking at the specs compared to US version.

Is that a typo mistake or really?
Any limitation of HDMI in international use?

Your right! I never thought of it. Just assumed it was there. The HDMI port is missing in the Swedish site as well.

I will give Toshiba Sweden a call today and sort it out!

Well, i talked to Toshiba Sweden. The specs should not be taken to seriously as they probably will change. He told me to call back next week. The guy responsible for X200 is still on vacation and is back on Monday. In the middle of next week they should have the correct specs and when it starts to ship. Estimated 3 to 4 weeks from now.

Well, i just have to wait then...... boooring

The HDMI port is present on the European Portuguese version(T7700 CPU).

The HD-DVD drive only reads HD-DVDs(ROM), not record them (-R, +R). Is rated to read them at 1x speed.

I´ve talked to Toshiba Portugal, and them tell me that the X200 will be in the portuguese deliverers in 14/18 of August. Lets hope that will be true...

That's great! somemore with 2 year international warranty.
    How much is that retailing?
    Is this a English version?

Can recommend any site(s) there or similar in Europe that will ship out an English language version?

    Thanks.

Does the processor have easy access? So you can diffidently upgrade the processor?
