Hi everyone,
I just plugged my LG 19" TFT monitor's VGA input in my X205, and, despite I configured it to its optimal resolution (1280x1024) the image quality is not good; it appears slightly blurred, just as if there was some kind of interference or as if I were using a CRT monitor. I've tried the monitor's automatic adjust and it improved the image quality a bit, but it is still blurred. The monitor is perfectly fine and gives crystal clear quality when connected to my desktop PC, so what's the problem? Is there a way to solve this? I wonder if it's a design problem; maybe having the VGA connector so close to the power supply affects the final image, but I'm not sure about that.
I'm running nVidia's 169.01 drivers on a clean Vista install.
Could you try this with your desktop monitors as well? I'd like to see if the same thing happens
Thank you in advance.

You probably have the wrong refresh rate set on your notebook's gpu. I know that if I select a different refresh rate on my 22" LCD, the picture looks not as clear.
-
I've already tried every refresh rate available for it. They are 60-70-72-75 hz. The best one is 60, but it's still slightly blurred (just a bit, though). :-/

what did you expect, it is only a vga out, not a DVI.

The world did no suddenly change when DVI came out, and people finally started to have nice displays. Computers users have been using VGA and non-blurry displays for some time now. -
Is there an "auto adjustment" button on the monitor?
-
Yes, I've also tried that. It improved image quality a bit, but still blurred nevertheless.
-
Maybe a silly question, but are you positive you are running in the LCD monitors native resolution? The only time I have observed the problem described was when you were running non-native resolution and the monitor was interpolating the resolution.
-
Indeed. I'm running it at 1280x1024. As I said in my first message, it works perfectly fine with my old desktop pc. However, connecting it to the x205 with same resolution, same refresh rate, and auto-adjustment gives a blurred image. I ask you to try it with a desktop monitor to see if same thing happens to you.
