As I know both models might have mxm type graphics card as hd4570, hd4650 or some nvidia. Can someone try to extract vga bios using gpuz. I consider to buy mxm card from toshiba and I wanne determine if the bios rome is stored on card itself or is integrated with motherboard bios. If someone will be able to save bios with gpuz then that mean that card have vga bios chip soldered on it.

Hi I will answer myself for this question
and maby those information help someone else aswell. Unfortunately we can't save vga bios with gpuz. That is indicating that those toshiba vga cards dont have bios chip soldered on them. I went step farther and opened bioses for a500 and l500 with phoenix bios editor and found vga bioses integrated with them, Thats giving me confidence that toshiba vga cards which looks like mxm II cards and probably have that's same dimensions and shape like mxm II actually arent proper mxm II cards because they dont have vga bios onboard. That's really sad for me because I had hope for source of cheap mxm II gt230m from toshiba, but nope

Sorry but 90% of laptops cant have a GPU upgrade because the GPU is soldered to the motherboard and the A500 is one of them. I think the only way you can upgrade your GPU is to find a Toshiba A500 motherboard with a 230m already installed
VGA bios A500, L500?
