I've searched online and on this forum, but have not found a solution to my issue yet... What I am trying to do is hear the builtin microphone through the speakers in my laptop in Vista.

I came across this site with the same problem "The microphone itself works great. However, I cannot hear the microphone audio through my speakers... and I also have no option of turning it on through the new audio control panel. " http://www.miguelcarrasco.net/miguelcarrasco/2006/12/vista_microphon.html

But all the solutions seemed to be for sigmatel hardware. My laptop is a X205-sli1 with Realtek HD Audio, running Vista home premium. Has anyone either found a registry hack, or driver update that allows the microphone input to go directly to the speakers?
    Thanks -Gary

So no one has tried this? Or is it only my system?
